Cairo ranked the third top city to travel in 2020, according to Lonely Planet.
This came in a feature, showing the best cities for which each traveler should go in 2020.
Austria's Salzburg and Washington D.C topped the list respectively. Also, Galway of Ireland, Germany's Bonn, Bolivia's La Pazz, India's Kochi, Canada's Vancouver, Dubai, and Colorado's Denver came in the list.
The large travel guide book publisher highlighted the coming opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in the last quarter of 2020, describing it as a state-of-the-art museum.

It also invited its followers to come to GEM which "entirely committed to one civilization."
Cairo's importance will increase after this great inauguration, which will become a doddle with Giza’s newly inaugurated Sphinx Airport, set to operate domestic flights.
In this regard, Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al Mashat expressed her happiness for Cairo's global rank, saying: "Happy to see Egypt—Tourism Reform Program (E-TRP)’s vision paying off."

Lonely Planet also described Cairo as "chaos at its most magnificent, infuriating and beautiful."
"Your nerves will jangle, your snot will run black from the smog and touts will hound you at every turn, but it's a small price to pay to tap into the energy of the place Egyptians call Umm Ad Dunya – the Mother of the World," it wrote.

It is known that the Egyptian capital is known more for its ancient and various history, giving you successive shots about the Pharaohs, Fatimid, Mamluk, and the Ottoman eras.
Lonely Planet said a trip to Cairo is like no other experience.
