Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, the Governor of Cairo, had the privilege of witnessing the grand marathon held by the Cairo Governorate on the Yasser Rizk axis. This marathon was a key highlight in the celebrations of Cairo's National Day, marking its 1054th anniversary, aptly titled the "Cairo Marathon".
Featuring more than 3,000 participants, the Cairo Marathon truly showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Participants were able to engage in a variety of races and activities, which included running, motorcycling, cycling, as well as various artistic performances. Adding to the grandeur of the event was a documentary film showcasing the remarkable achievements of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in the realm of sports.

Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor for the Eastern Region, Major General Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Deputy Governor for the Western Region, Ms. Jihan Abdel Moneim, Deputy Governor for the Southern Region, and Dr. Hossam El Din Fawzi, Deputy Governor for the Northern Region were all present. Also joining the celebrations was Dr. El Sayed Hazin, Director of the Directorate of Youth and Sports, along with numerous other governorate leaders.
