Cairo International Airport recorded 737 flights over a 24-hour period, transporting a total of 111,212 passengers across departures and arrivals, reflecting continued growth in air traffic and operational intensity.
According to official statistics, international traffic accounted for the largest share of activity, with 584 flights carrying 96,156 passengers. Of those, 48,494 travelers departed from Cairo, while 47,662 arrived.
Domestic operations included 132 flights transporting 15,020 passengers, in addition to 11 special and cargo flights, underscoring the scale and diversity of air traffic handled by Egypt’s primary aviation hub.
The figures highlight rising demand for travel through Cairo Airport and demonstrate its capacity to efficiently manage high operational volumes. Airport authorities attributed the performance to close coordination among various operating entities and continuous monitoring of departure halls, arrival terminals, and airside operations.
Officials emphasized that streamlined procedures and integrated operational oversight have helped ensure punctual departures, smooth passenger processing, and consistent service standards amid elevated traffic levels.
The latest data reflects ongoing modernization and capacity enhancement efforts aimed at reinforcing Cairo Airport’s status as Egypt’s main international gateway and a key aviation hub in the region.
