The Russian House in Cairo is set to host an engaging evening with a distinguished delegation of Russian maritime explorers on Sunday, February 18th, marking their inaugural visit to Egypt. This assembly will feature an array of seasoned voyagers, including physicist and sailing school founder Dmitry Kuznetsov, world sailing championship participant Konstantin Vasilyev, Moscow State University's head of scientific research Vladimir Dudkin, and Alexei Eganitov, an avid ocean explorer with 30 years of experience and visits to 120 countries. Joining them is filmmaker and photographer Nikita Konov, known for his documentaries on maritime explorations.

This adventurous group, founders of the Five Oceans Club, has navigated approximately 30,000 nautical miles across 23 countries on four continents under sail, participating in renowned sailing races. The club, which now boasts 100 members globally, includes famed Russian explorer Fyodor Konyukhov, who has circumnavigated the globe solo by sea five times.

Discussions will also delve into the scientific endeavors conducted aboard their sailing vessel in collaboration with Moscow State University's Marine Research Center.

The event, scheduled for 6 PM, will commence with the screening of a rare documentary showcasing the thrilling adventures of the Five Oceans Club, accompanied by Arabic translation for the dialogue with these 'Sea Wolves.'
