Tunisian reports have revealed significant developments regarding Al Ahly's appeal to have its fans attend the Esperance match scheduled for next Saturday, the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-final at Cairo Stadium.
Al Ahly had officially announced that it had filed a protest with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) against the decision to postpone consideration of its appeal against the two-match ban imposed on the club, one of which was suspended, following the incidents that occurred during the match against Moroccan side FAR Rabat.
According to Tunisian radio station Mosaique FM, the CAF Appeals Committee has rejected Al Ahly's request to play the Esperance match behind closed doors.
