The Confederation of the African Football (CAF) decided on Sunday to postpone Egypt vs. Malawi encounter in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The football governing body in Africa said that Egypt would clash against Malawi in March 2023 instead of September 2022.
The decision will allow the five teams, partaking in the 2022 World Cup, to prepare for the tournament, which will take place in November.
This means that Egypt will not play an official match under the leadership of new head coach Rui Vitória so that the Portuguese would have a chance to hold friendlies to assess the players.
