CAF President Ahmad Ahmad on Tuesday said that the semi finals and finals of Africa's two international club competitions will each be played in one single match because of coronavirus pandemic.
The decision came after the CAF Executive Committee held a meeting on via video-conference to discuss the future of competitions and other related issues following the COVID-19.
In a statement, the CAF President said the confederation cup semi finals and finals would be played over one leg in Morocco as the matches will be resumed in September.
He also said that champions league matches will be held at the same way, but the venue has not been determined yet.
"The Total CAF Champions League (CL) and Total Confederation Cup (CC), will resume in September with a Final Four (4) format. Semi-Final matches will be played in a single match," Ahmad Ahmad said.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt's Zamalek are set to face Raja, and Egypt's Al Ahly are set to clash against Wydad in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
