PM Mostafa Madbouly continued efforts to facilitate Egyptian exports' access to foreign markets, especially African ones, and a project to operate a fast shipping line to ship agricultural crops to some European countries.
The Prime Minister affirmed in a meeting on Sunday that the state adopts specific policies to work to increase the volume of Egyptian exports and open more foreign markets to access them; by providing more facilities and incentives to Egyptian exporters, whether with regard to transportation, or establishing logistical warehouses for African countries, in addition to benefiting from the export opportunities available to various sectors, especially the food industry and agricultural crops; to achieve exports worth $100 billion.
The Prime Minister indicated that the Minister of Transport is ready for implementation, and therefore there must be immediate coordination between the Ministers of Transport, Trade and Industry, and the Agricultural Export Council to determine the required paths for the target countries, whether in Europe, Africa, or others, and start implementing that immediately.
The transport minister referred to the cooperation that is taking place with a number of international shipping lines, explaining that the Egyptian state is allied with the 4 largest international shipping lines, stressing the readiness of these alliances to help Egypt export any quantities it wish to export, whether to Europe, Africa, or others.
In light of this, the minister of transport reviewed efforts to operate a fast shipping line (RoRo) to ship agricultural crops to some European countries, stressing that there is cooperation and coordination with the ministries and concerned authorities in this regard.
