Sources in the Public Business Sector revealed that the process of developing fertilizer companies is continuing, especially with regard to studies of developing the Delta fertilizer factories, Kima 1, and Al-Nasr Fertilizers in Suez.
The sources pointed out that fertilizers represent an important portion of Egyptian exports and an important source of hard currency.
They added that there is a local tendency toward expanding the manufacture of green ammonia, in light of the European Union's threat to stop importing traditional fertilizers, with the aim of reducing carbon emissions that pollute the environment, and therefore stopping Egypt's exports to the EU countries, green ammonia projects will be launched in the future.
