Burundi Prime Minister Nestor Ntahontuye and his wife visited the Grand Egyptian Museum during their current official visit to Egypt, accompanied by a high-level delegation.

The guests were received by Ahmed Ghoneim, Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, who welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of the museum’s collections, facilities, and advanced visitor services.

The tour included the museum’s outdoor plaza, main atrium, Grand Staircase, and the main exhibition halls, which feature 12 galleries showcasing different periods of ancient Egyptian civilization.

The delegation also visited the dedicated galleries of Tutankhamun, where the young pharaoh’s treasures are displayed together for the first time in a single location through an interactive and modern exhibition design.

Officials explained that the museum presents thousands of rare archaeological artifacts using advanced display technologies designed to offer visitors an immersive cultural experience.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Burundian prime minister and accompanying delegation expressed admiration for the archaeological treasures and praised the museum’s presentation methods and exhibition scenario.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is considered one of Egypt’s largest cultural and tourism projects and is expected to become one of the world’s leading archaeological museums following its full opening.
