Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabe Abroad of Burkina Faso, Governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike, and their accompanying delegations visited the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
They were received by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
These visits come within the framework of the museum's trial operation of the main exhibition halls that launched on October 16.
The tour, which came during the officials' visit to Egypt, included a tour of the delegations in the Hanging Obelisk area, the main entrance, and the lobby where the statue of King Ramses II is located, passing by the Grand Staircase, and arriving at the main exhibition halls.
The Burkina Faso Minister expressed his amazement and great happiness with the artifacts that display the history of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
The Mayor of Tokyo congratulated the GEM CEO long-awaited trial operation of the museum of the museum.
She also shared her eagerness for the soon opening of the Tutankhamun halls and expressed her admiration for the museum and its distinctive display scenario for the artifacts as well as for the smooth roaming and transition between the main exhibition halls that achieve the desired success of the visitor's experience of the museum.
It is worth noting that the trial operation of the museum allows museum visitors to visit the Hanging Obelisk area, the Great Hall, the Glass Hall, the commercial area, and the main exhibition halls.
