In a dazzling show of international solidarity, Dubai's Burj Khalifa and Moscow's Domodedovo Airport were illuminated with the Egyptian flag to commemorate the anniversary of Egypt's July 23 Revolution.
Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson and Director of Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter): "The Egyptian flag adorns Moscow's Domodedovo Airport and Dubai's Burj Khalifa in celebration of Egypt's national holiday and the glorious July 23 Revolution."
Today marks the 72nd anniversary of the July 23, 1952 Revolution, which was initially known as the "Blessed Movement" before being renamed. The Free Officers orchestrated this revolution to reshape Egypt's history and restore national independence.
The revolution, supported by the Egyptian people, transformed the nation's trajectory and established its pivotal role in the Arab and African regions. It ended the monarchy, making Farouk the last king of Egypt, and ushered in the republican era.
