Bulgarian Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova and her accompanying delegation visited on Monday Giza Pyramids and the Religious Complex in Misr Al Qadima district as a part of a tour organized by the Egyptian Tourism Ministry.
During her tour, Angelkova expressed her great admiration for the ancient Egyptian civilization and culture, saying: "My current visit to Egypt is the first of its kind and won't be the last."

The Bulgarian minister affirmed that she would visit Egypt again to see its monuments and get acquainted more with its civilization as well as visiting the country's tourist cities.
She stressed the importance of fruitful meetings and talks during her stay in Egypt, which will develop bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector.

She also thanked Tourism Minister Dr. Rania Al-Mashat and the Egyptian ministry's team for organizing such a fantastic visit and warm reception.
Earlier on Sunday, Al-Mashat and Angelkova held a forum titled “Egypt and Bulgaria: Working together to achieve sustainable tourism,” in the presence of Foreign Minister Assistant for European Affairs Ambassador Badr Abdel Ati, Chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Federation Ahmed El Waseef, and Chairperson of the Egyptian Travel Agencies Association Hossam El Shaer as well as Bulgarian officials.

During the forum, Angelkova congratulated Al-Mashat on the Egyptian tourism sector’s success in 2018, saying: “Such success will motivate Bulgaria to go hand in hand with a strategic partner like Egypt.”
