Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities said that the sixth floor is being completed with several towers in the central business district in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).

He stressed that the site is being worked on 24 hours a day in order to accomplish this unique national project in Egypt. It will be a center for entrepreneurship.

“The Chinese company CSCEC is building 20 towers of multiple activities and uses at the Central Business District in NAC," Al-Jazzar added. "The iconic tower will be established in the center of the 20 towers."

"The iconic tower will be the highest tower in Africa, a height of 385 meters, consisting of 80 floors over an area of about 240 thousand square meters," The minister went on saying. "Its foundation is about 3,700 m 2, with a height of 5 meters long. The concrete base of the tower was poured in 3 continuous days for 18,500 m 3 of reinforced concrete. The tower will be used between commercial, residential and hotel activities."

It is worth mentioning that Al-Jazzar toured yesterday the Central Business District. He inspected the work in the towers, in addition to other projects in NAC.

The China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) is the largest construction company in the world by revenue and the 14th largest general contractor in terms of overseas sales, as of 2016.
