Merna Hosny Fakhry, a 5th year student in faculty of pharmacy at British University in Egypt (BUE) has won the first place in the international clinical skills team competition, held in Rwanda.
Chairman of the BUE board of trustees Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis congratulated the talented student on winning such prestigious global-ranking, after competing 45 countries alone without a team.
Khamis hailed Fakhry’s outstanding performance, noting that BUE is always keen to cope with the latest developments, and to offer an ultimate support for its students either in the educational system or the scientific research.
Moreover, he added that the university is always providing all the possible facilities for its students to take part in different competitions held in Egypt and abroad.
“Merna has represented Egypt in the contest as a team not as an inpidual,” khamis noted. “Her medical report has won the first prize.”
On her part, the BUE student confirmed that she has done all her best to honourably represent Egypt in this competition.
“I participated in 4 competitions, three of which are inpidual ones,” she added. “I won the 2nd place in the international compounding competition, the 3rd place in the international clinical skills inpidual competition, and the 3rd place in the international patient counseling competition.”
