BTS, Lady Gaga Win Big at MTV Europe Music Awards

South Korean K-pop group BTS picked up, Sunday night, four awards including the best song for “Dynamite” and the best group at the MTV Europe Music Awards, while Lady Gaga took the best artist prize.

BTS also took "best fans" and "best virtual live".

Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, Doja Cat, and DaBaby performed at the show. Due to the coronavirus crisis, the EMAs featured filmed performances from various locations around Europe, rather than an arena in a host city.

The evening also featured the performance of David Guetta, who won best electronic, from a stage in Budapest.

The show, which honors the best in global music, was hosted by girl group Little Mix and aired on the network.

Gaga beat out Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, and The Weeknd for the best artist prize, however, she lost out for the best video award, which went to DJ Khaled for “’Popstar.”

Cardi B picked up the best hip hop award, while Coldplay won the best rock, and Haley Williams received the best alternative.

Also, Little Mix was named the best pop, meanwhile, the best Latin award went to Karol G, who also won the best collaboration for “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj.

Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Yungblud won best push while Doja Cat took home the best new artist honor.

Eddie Van Halen, who passed away last month, was also remembered in a tribute featuring Tom Morello and St. Vincent.
