Popular singer-songwriter Bruno Mars — whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez — and Disney have inked a deal to develop an upcoming music movie after months of discussion.
They will develop a music-themed theatrical narrative feature that Mars will star in and produce.
The plot is being kept under wraps, but Deadline reported that it will consist of mostly original music, which he will create and perform.
The musician took to social media to announce the upcoming project.
"If your heart is in your dream No request is too extreme When you wish upon a Star #MarsMeetsTheMouse #ImGoingToDisneyland #YESSS!!," he wrote alongside a video of himself playing on a piano.

This comes in the wake of signing a deal with Lin-Manuel Miranda for the Hamilton musical film, which the studio paid $75 million for worldwide rights.
