After news surfaced that four serving squaddies travelled to Ukraine on their own accord to fight, the UK Ministry of Defence issued a warning to British soldiers that they are prohibited from going to Ukraine, LBC reported.

Following the Russian invasion, four British troops, including a 19-year-old Coldstream Guardsman, are thought to have travelled to Ukraine.

According to The Sun, the teen Coldstream Guardsman, who was stationed at Windsor barracks, sent his parents a goodbye note and purchased a plane ticket to Poland to fight.

Under official British military advice, all travel to Ukraine is prohibited. Security chiefs are frantically attempting to apprehend them.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, who served in the Scots Guards, has encouraged Britons not to fly to Ukraine to join the conflict, claiming that the situation is "very dangerous" and that they may be killed.

Any foreign countries that seek to intervene will face "consequences greater than any you have encountered in history," Putin has previously warned.

Since then, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated that all service personnel are prohibited from visiting Ukraine.

"Until further notice, all service personnel are barred from travelling to Ukraine," a representative for the Ministry of Defense said. "This is true whether or not the service member is on leave. "Personnel who travel to Ukraine will be subject to disciplinary and administrative action."
