British Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak has expressed hope that United Kingdom (UK) and Germany can continue to work together to maintain security in Europe.
This came in a phone call between Sunak and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz according to a statement published on the official website of the British government.
Sunak and Scholz also discussed the worrying situation in Niger. Both UK and Germany condemned the recent attempts to undermine democracy, peace and stability in the country.
Moreover, British PM welcomed the joint efforts between London and Berlin to maintain stability and protect the citizens of the two countries in Niger.
Furthermore, the two leaders confirmed that they look forward to meeting in person at the G20 summit in India next month.
