British Prime Minister (PM) Rishi Sunak stressed on Wednesday the need for an immediate and complete ceasefire, stressing, "Fighting that could last for days or weeks will not be in anyone's interest."
"No one wants to see the fighting in Gaza continue any longer, and no one wants to see innocent civilians suffer, that is why we are doing everything we can to achieve an immediate humanitarian truce, allowing for the safe release of the hostages, Sunak said in his word before UK House of Commons.
"More aid must also be brought into Gaza to create the conditions for a sustainable and real ceasefire. This is the position shared by our allies, and this is what our diplomatic efforts are focused on," he continued.
