This evening, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on the British people to stay home starting from next Thursday until December 2 and not to go out unless necessary.

Johnson said that without the new measures, the number of deaths due to coronavirus will increase more than its today rates. He referred to his strong hopes for a vaccine next year.

New British closures included unimportant stores, and schools. They excluded nurseries and universities.

Britain has crossed the one million new coronavirus cases since the outbreak of the pandemic.

On Saturday, the government announced that the number of infections had reached 1,011,660.

The Ministry of Health stated, in a new statistic, that the number of registered infections with the novel coronavirus ( known also as COVID-19) in Britain during the past 24 hours increased by 21915 cases to reach the level of 1011,660 cases.

This number represents a relative decline in the daily infections index in Britain which reached on October 29 23,065 cases, and on October 30, 24,405.

The British Ministry of Health also added that it had detected 326 new deaths from the disease, bringing the number of pandemic victims in the country to 4,655 cases.

This outcome represents a sharp increase in the number of daily deaths of Coronavirus in the UK.

In recent weeks, Britain has witnessed sharp rises in the daily infection index of the Coronavirus, which prompted the country's authorities to impose new restrictions, including working from homes whenever possible, and closing bars and restaurants earlier.

The newly imposed restrictions may still in place for 6 months in order to counter the second wave of disease.

With the increase in the indicators of the pandemic, multiple sources confirmed that the government of Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, is considering imposing a second general closure in the country due to the virus, to last for a month.

A British government source said today, Saturday, that the PM is eyeing a general lockdown on the whole of Britain for a month, starting next week.

The source indicated that government measures that could be taken in response to the growing infection with the Coronavirus in Britain are still under study and that any decision has not been taken yet.

He added that it is expected that a number of ministers will meet shortly to discuss this issue.

Britain is the most affected European country by the novel Coronavirus pandemic, whose death toll has reached 46,299 so far, according to official statistics.
