British Foreign Office Spokesperson: There's No Place Like Egypt in the World

Egypt’s unique charm has captivated the UK government’s MENA spokesperson! Making her first-ever trip to the country, Jocelyn Wallar shared her excitement on Instagram during what she described as a "very important week" for UK-Egypt relations.

"The energy here is different, the atmosphere is different," Wallar said. "As soon as you step out of the airport, you feel history everywhere, alongside the incredible kindness and generosity of the people. Truly, there’s no place like Egypt."

Immersing herself in the local culture, the Arabic-language spokesperson turned to her followers for some culinary inspiration, asking for must-try Egyptian food recommendations.

Wallar’s visit sets the stage for major diplomatic engagements, as UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper is also in Egypt, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer scheduled to visit soon.
