Netflix streaming service renewed on Tuesday the smash hit regency romance series "Bridgerton" for another two seasons.
The announcement came in the form of a cheeky little letter from Whistledown herself, the Regency-era Gossip Girl character who was unmasked in the Season 1 finale.
Season 2 will follow the pursuit of a suitable marriage for Daphne Bridgerton's eldest sibling, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) as chronicled in Julia Quinn’s second book, "The Viscount Who Loved Me".
Meanwhile, seasons 3 and 4 should follow the next two titles in Quinn’s novels "An Offer from a Gentleman" and "Romancing Mister Bridgerton".
Season 1, set in 1800s London, followed the journey to a happily-ever-after between Bridgerton's (Phoebe Dynevor) and the rakish Duke Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page).
The steamy historical romance from Shonda Rhimes’ Shondaland has been a worldwide hit since its premiere in 2020.
