The TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra will stage its first-ever open-air concert in Russia on June 5 at Palace Square in St. Petersburg, marking the 20th anniversary of BRICS.
The performance will serve as a flagship cultural event of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) and will feature musicians from Russia and several international partner countries.
A highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of "BRICS – A Commonwealth of Cultures," a symphonic poem composed by Russian musician Murat Kabardokov to celebrate two decades of BRICS cooperation.
The concert will also feature acclaimed performers from Russia, China and Iran, alongside Italian tenor Alessandro Safina. The program will showcase a blend of classical, folk and contemporary music reflecting the cultural diversity of BRICS nations.
Mikhail Golikov, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the orchestra, said the event aims to demonstrate how culture can unite nations through artistic dialogue and shared traditions.
The concert, titled "In the Rhythm of Summer," will conclude the Petersburg Seasons cultural festival held alongside SPIEF, which runs from June 3 to June 6 in St. Petersburg.
