Breaking: Naomi Osaka claims Australian Open Title

Naomi Osaka claimed on Saturday the Australian Open title after beating American Jennifer Brady in the final to win her fourth Grand Slam title.

The Japanese world No.3 managed to complete her winning run as she won all her 21 previous matches without any loss.

Osaka secured a 6-4 6-3 win to claim her second Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park. 

Osaka pulled off a win in the first set when Brady, who marked her first Grand Slam final, paid for some obvious errors in the final game.

The third seed dominated from that point, racing 4-0 ahead in the second set before sealing a deserved victory.

The Japanese has now lifted two Australian Open trophies after also winning at Melbourne Park in 2019, with her other Grand Slam successes coming at the US Open in 2018 and 2020.

She has not suffered any loss since February 2020 after triumphing her past 20 matches.
