French President Emmanuel Macron has contracted the novel coronavirus, according to local media reports on Wednesday.
The Elysee released a statement stating that the French president tests positive for the Covid-19.
"In accordance with current health regulations applicable to all, the president will isolate himself for 7 days. He will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely," the statement read.
