Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Monday his infection with novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In Facebook live video, the Armenian prime minister said: "I didn't have any symptoms. I decided to take a test as I was planning to visit the frontline", adding that his whole family is infected as well.
Armenia has so far registered 9402 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 139 deaths.
It is worth mentioning that, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
Transmission of virus between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.
It can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
