Brazil’s Mato Grosso state set a record for cotton exports in March, underscoring its dominant role in the country’s agricultural shipments, according to data reported by TV BRICS.
Exports totaled 219,760 metric tonnes during the month, up 2.6% from a year earlier and marking one of the highest monthly volumes on record.
Mato Grosso, Brazil’s top cotton-producing state, accounted for a significant share of national exports, reflecting strong output and steady global demand.
Industry observers expect shipments to remain robust in the coming months, supported by favorable market conditions and expanded trade flows.
