Brazilian soccer legend Pele mourned the death of his fellow great Diego Maradona on Wednesday as he said that it is sad to 'lose friends this way'.
Diego Maradona passed away earlier today after suffering a heart attack at the age of 60.
Maradona's attorney confirmed the passing away of the football icon, according to news agency Reuters.
"Certainly, one day we'll kick a ball together in the sky above," he said in a brief statement provided to Reuters by a representative.
Maradona, 60, had recently battled health issues and underwent emergency surgery for a subdural hematoma several weeks ago.
