The Brazilian club Santos surprised world football fans by preparing for the funeral ceremony of Pelé, although he had not died yet, but the deterioration of his health prompted the club to prepare a special coffin for him.

The Spanish newspaper Marca revealed that a video was leaked from inside the Brazilian club Santos, showing part of the preparations for a possible funeral for Pele, with a coffin bearing his picture.

The newspaper pointed out that the Villa Belmero stadium will be the gathering place for Brazilian fans to bid farewell to Pelé in the event of his death in the coming days.

Pictures of the tents that they will set up in the middle of the stadium have also spread, and the Santos team had announced its tribute to the legend Pele several days ago, by adding a crown between the two stars of the team on the club's logo.

Pelé, 82, was transferred to the hospital on November 29 after contracting coronavirus and then a lung infection while he was receiving chemotherapy for colon cancer, which led to heart and kidneys failure, according to the hospital.

The football legend is still the historic top scorer for the Brazil national team, but in partnership with Neymar da Silva, each with 77 goals.
