Brazil Floods Death Toll Rises to 232

The death toll from floods and mudslides caused by heavy rainfall in the Brazilian city of Petropolis has risen to at least 232.

Earlier, Egypt expressed its sincere condolences to Brazil over the victims of floods and landslides that have hit the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, killing scores of people, leaving tens of injured and missing.

Moreover, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the Brazelian government and people in this painful tragedy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

It also offered its condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
