Hours ago, Renaissance Italian painter Sandro Botticelli's portrait was sold for $92m at a Sotheby's auction in New York.
It broke the records of the Italian Renaissance artists' paintings.
The painting entitled a "Young Man Holding a Roundel" and it could be painted between the 1470s or 1480s.
It is one of the finest works of the artist, besides it is one of the last 12 existed paintings by Botticelli.

The successful sale of such a piece could help to increase the prices for other paintings at a time when many art collectors are searching for newer objects.
The auction went through email and phone, so the identity of the buyer wasn't revealed.
A few years ago, another painting questioned the minds of the art lovers which is "Salvator Mundi" Leonardo da Vinci.
Many reports tried to reveal the identity of the buyer of this iconic and final work by da Vicci.
The painting considered the most expensive painting ever as it was sold for more than 400 million dollars, and it is currently kept at The Louvre Abu Dhabi
