The European Union's external relations official, Josep Borrell, expressed his belief that the chance of saving the nuclear agreement with Iran will recede.
However, Borrell considered that making an additional effort can accomplish the matter.
"There is the diminishing possibility of reaching an agreement and returning to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is waning," Borrell tweeted on the social networking platform "Twitter" today (Saturday), after talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian.
But at the same time, Borrell stressed that "we can still accomplish this deal by making an extra effort."
He explained that "as a mediator, he is always ready to work on reaching solutions to the recent outstanding issues."
