The High Representative for Foreign Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, strongly condemned the Israeli attack on the tents of displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area, classified as “safe,” in Khan Yunis.
Borrell said on his account on the X platform on Tuesday: “I strongly condemn the Israeli attack on refugee tents in the safe zone in Khan Yunis.”
He stressed the need to respect the rules of war, protect civilians, and ensure accountability, and added: "We cannot normalize the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza."
