UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancée Carrie Symonds were married in a stealth ceremony at Westminster Cathedral in London, according to several reports, after they sent friends cards for a wedding in July 2022.

Johnson, 56, moved into his official residence in Downing Street with Symonds in 2019 before his porce from his second wife, Marina Wheeler.

It is the third marriage for  Johnson and the first for Symonds, 33, who has recently come under controversy after she ordered an expensive furnish to be installed in Johnson’s quarters, financed by a donor to the Conservative Party.

Symonds gave birth to a son, Wilfred, last spring, only weeks after  Johnson had survived coronavirus infection.

The afternoon wedding, in London’s main Roman Catholic cathedral was carried out in secret, according to The Mail and The Sun. According to The Sun report, the church was cleared of visitors in the afternoon, and Johnson and his bride arrived in a limousine.

Due to COVID restrictions, there were only 30 guests in the church. Symonds wore a long white dress without a veil.

The wedding was not officially confirmed, yet, news on Saturday evening drew congratulations from some politicians.
