Bolivia's Foreign Ministry has announced its support for the lawsuit filed by South Africa before the International Court of Justice against Israel for crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The Bolivian ministry commended South Africa's initiative in this regard, underlining its commitment to the Genocide Convention.

It views this as a historic step in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the necessity for international support of this initiative.

The ministry further noted that Bolivia, in partnership with South Africa, Bangladesh, Comoros, and Djibouti, submitted a lawsuit to the International Criminal Court on November 17th of the past year, seeking an investigation into the situation in the Palestinian territories.

Bolivia is the first country in Latin America to declare its support for South Africa's lawsuit.
