Bodour Al Qasimi Announces Fifth Sharjah Booksellers Conference with Participants from 98 Countries

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, announced Thursday that the fifth Booksellers Conference will be held Sept. 19-20 at Expo Centre Sharjah, bringing together booksellers, distributors and e-commerce platforms from 98 countries.

The conference will focus on strengthening global book distribution, improving supply chains and addressing the impact of digital transformation on the publishing industry. Sessions will cover inventory management, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, data analytics and strategies to expand readership.

Sharjah Book Authority CEO Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri said the conference has become a key international platform for advancing sustainable book markets, fostering partnerships and reinforcing Sharjah's position as a global publishing hub.

Registration remains open through Sept. 18 for publishers, booksellers, distributors and online bookselling platforms seeking to participate in the annual industry gathering.
