US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is set to embark on a three-day visit to Switzerland next Monday to participate in the World Economic Forum.
The US Department of State, in a statement released on its official website today, Friday, announced that Blinken is scheduled to meet with global leaders in Davos to discuss matters of international concern.
The statement emphasized Blinken's commitment to achieving lasting peace and security in the Middle East, the United States' enduring commitment to the people of Ukraine, and its dedication to security through NATO and the rules-based international order.
In a statement made on Thursday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed that the conflict in Gaza must come to an end, and more efforts should be made to protect civilians and deliver aid to those in need to provide security and peace for them.
Blinken stated before departing Cairo, marking the last stop on his Middle East tour, as reported by Cairo News Channel, "Establishing a Palestinian state is the best solution to the crisis, which would sideline Iran and the proxies that are causing harm to us and the region. This vision is very clear to many regional leaders."
Regarding the Red Sea attacks, Blinken clarified that the Houthi rebels continue to target ships day by day. If these attacks do not cease, they will have serious consequences.
He emphasized the necessity of a Palestinian state based on regional commitments in the area, with all countries willing to undertake this effort. This approach is the best way to address Israel's security concerns.
He also pointed out that Israel's cooperation with regional states and creating a path towards a Palestinian state is the best means of isolating Iran, highlighting that Washington's focus is on ensuring the situation in the West Bank does not escalate.
