US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Israel, West Bank on Wednesday, and Thursday, Reuters reported.

The main reason for his visit is preserving the latest approved ceasefire in Gaza between Israel, and Hamas.

A few days ago, the US Secretary announced that he will pay a visit to the Middle East to meet several leaders of the region.

He tweeted: “I will be traveling to the region in the coming days and look forward to meeting the Foreign Minister and other Israeli, Palestinian, and regional leaders.”

Blinken expressed his will during his phone call with his Israeli counterpart Gabi Ashkenazi. The Israeli Foreign Minister revealed to him Israel’s welcoming of the late-agreed ceasefire agreement between Israel in Hamas in Gaza upon Egyptian initiative.

Last night, Presidents Joe Biden, and Abdel Fattah Sisi exchanged appreciation upon both states’ efforts in backing the Egyptian initiative for setting the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
