On Tuesday, Israeli media outlets reported that US State Secretary Antony Blinken will visit the region, including Israel next Saturday.
Previously, Blinken reaffirmed his country's commitment to strengthening partnerships with the African continent.
In a joint press conference with Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, Blinken said that the talks discussed issues of common interest at the bilateral and global levels, stressing that his visit to African countries comes to confirm that the future of peoples and their prosperity is a common matter.
He added that US and Côte d'Ivoire have close and clear relations, and that Washington is seeking to increase investment in the fields of health and the environment in Côte d'Ivoire, which has achieved remarkable economic progress at times when the global economies were facing major challenges.
