US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Egypt this week, in addition to Israel, West Bank, and Jordan, Reuters reported on Saturday.
Sources told Reuters that the US Secretary of State's visit to West Bank and Israel is scheduled for Wednesday, and Thursday. On the other hand, the dates of his visit to Cairo and Amman are not announced yet.
The main motive of his visit is preserving the latest approved ceasefire in Gaza between Israel, and Hamas.
A few days ago, Blinken announced that he will pay a visit to the Middle East to meet several leaders of the region.
He tweeted: “I will be traveling to the region in the coming days and look forward to meeting the Foreign Minister and other Israeli, Palestinian, and regional leaders.”
