Blinken Stresses Partnership Btw US, Greece Is 'Solid'

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the strength of the partnership between the United States (US) and Greece, pointing out that his country considers Greece an indispensable partner in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) at a time of unprecedented global challenges.

"On behalf of the government and people of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Greece around the world on the occasion of the 202nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Greece," Blinken said - in a statement posted on the US State Department's website.

He praised Greece's continued vital support for Ukraine more than a year after Moscow launched its war against Ukraine.

Blinken confirmed his aspiration for another year of challenges and opportunities, stressing that the partnership between the United States and Greece is solid and will overcome challenges.
