US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stressed the need to end the war in Gaza and restore all hostages.
This came during a meeting held by Blinken, on Thursday, with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar in Malta, according to a statement issued by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller and published by the ministry’s official website.
According to Miller, Blinken stressed the need to end the Gaza war, restore all hostages, and establish a path for the post-conflict period that provides lasting peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Blinken also stressed that Israel must make more efforts to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid throughout Gaza.
The two ministers also discussed the cessation of hostilities in Lebanon, and the importance of ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
