Blinken, Qatari PM Hold Phone Talks

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held phone talks with Qatari Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. 

"I spoke with the Qatari Prime Minister about ongoing efforts to facilitate the safe return of all hostages and increase levels of aid to civilians in Gaza," Blinken posted on 'X' platform. 

Both officials discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

In addition, Qatari PM reiterated Qatar's commitment, along with its mediation partners, to ongoing efforts aimed at restoring calm to the region.

During the call, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed his concern that the continued bombing in the Gaza Strip after this humanitarian truce complicates mediation efforts and further aggravates the humanitarian crisis.
