US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for an urgent halt to escalation between Israel and Palestine during a phone call with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the phone call, Blinken stressed the need for calm in the region amid the passover holidays and Ramadan, affirming United States' continued commitment to the two-state solution.
Earlier today, the Palestinian presidency warned of the seriousness of the ongoing Israeli provocations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshipers in its courtyards.
It is worth mentioning that, Palestinian Presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the Israeli escalation in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the daily attacks against worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan are unacceptable and will lead to a serious deterioration of the situation.
Moreover, Abu Rudeineh stressed that all these developments and violations will not discourage the Palestinian people from continuing to defend their land and sanctities, stressing that Jerusalem, with its sanctities, is the eternal capital of the Palestinian state.
