US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as part of his Middle East tour, Cairo News reported few minutes ago.

Earlier, the US State Secretary visited Qatar where he met Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

The U.S. Secretary of State said on Sunday that calls for the expulsion of Palestinians are an unacceptable escalation, stressing that since the beginning of the crisis, the United States has been working to prevent the conflict from expanding.

In a press conference with Qatari Prime Minister, which was aired on Cairo News Channel, Blinken added that this conflict could escalate, leading to much suffering.

He noted that large numbers of innocent Palestinians have been killed so far.

Moreover, Blinken added that the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea are harming the global economy, noting that "we are urging Israel to work to reduce civilian casualties."
