President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State at Washington Convention Center.
The Egyptian President stressed that the African continent needs a continental infrastructure with full-fledged elements that support the implementation of the desired efforts.
Sisi also noted that this can be achieved through a huge international project that mobilizes resources and support from major countries and global development expertise to crystallize a comprehensive vision, which is imperative for the success of development efforts in the continent.
On his part, Blinken emphasized US's commitment to the strategic partnership with Egypt, commending Egypt's successfully host for COP-27 climate conference.
They also discussed a wide range of issues, including Egypt's important role in promoting stability in the region and the decades-old bilateral defense ties.
In addition، Blinken underlined the importance of reaching a diplomatic decision regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) in a way that guarantees the interests of all parties.
Furthermore, US Secretary of State reaffirmed that bilateral relations are strengthened through tangible progress in the field of human rights in Egypt.
