Black Theama to Perform at Roman Theater

Famed band Black Theama, will perform at the Roman Theater in Alexandria on July 24, as part of the international summer festival.

The band infuses traditional Nubian folk songs with modern beats. Over the years, the band collaborated with many other bands and musicians such as Massar Egbari and Cairokee.

Black Theama chose El Sawy Cultural Wheel because it was the same place and the same theatre that witnessed their first concert 14 years ago.

Roman Theater program

Noteworthy, the Cairo Opera House organized an eight-day event at Alexandria's Roman Theater in Kom El Dikka neighborhood between 22 and 29 July.

Nine known bands and singers will perform at the historic place starting with Ayamna El-Helwa, then Medhat Saleh, Black Theama, Massar Egbari, Wust El-Balad and SoundTrack Orchestra respectively with El-Nafikha and Taksir Sharki to perform at the same night. The festival's concerts will start at 8.30pm every day.
