Marvel Studio’s plan for the sequel of "Black Panther" is starting to come into shape.

The sequel was put on hold following the sudden death of the movie's leading actor Chadwick Boseman, as filmmaker Ryan Coogler and Marvel tried to get past the grief and move forward.

The ongoing coronavirus played havoc with many movies and televised productions, including Marvel productions, which saw no Marvel movies released for the first time since 2009.

Multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter that Marvel is currently preparing to film "Black Panther 2", which is set to begin filming in Atlanta, in July 2021 and will continue for six months.

Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett are expected to reprise their roles.

Marvel has not revealed its plans on how it plans to proceed without Boseman, although it has indicated that it will not use CGI to include the late star in the film.

Marvel phase 4 is being carefully planned, and if the pandemic becomes contained, three movies will be released in 2021: "Black Widow" (May 7), "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" (July 9), and "The Eternals" (November 11).
