The price of Bitcoin plummeted on Friday after Elon Musk tweeted that he had 'broken up' with the world's best cryptocurrency.
Musk tweeted a meme about a couple breaking up due to a male partner citing the lyrics of Linkin Park "it doesn't even matter", adding the Bitcoin hashtag and a broken heart emoji.
The cryptocurrency has recovered a bit after Square CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted Friday morning that the digital payments company is considering creating a wallet for bitcoin.

Bitcoin went down 4.3% at $36,925 on Friday, according to Coin Metrics. Ether also dropped 3.6% to $2,694.92 and Dogecoin by 1.7% to 38 cents.
Bitcoin has had a wild year, reaching a record high of more than $64,000 in April, only to then plummet to nearly $30,000 the following month. It’s now more than 40% off its all-time high, though still up almost 30% so far in 2021.
